Third Party Political Spending Hitting the Airwaves

Tags: Abortion, Barack Obama, Democrat, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Mitt Romney, war

People are off for the holidays, but not the 3rd party spending, which are hitting the airwaves in Iowa.

Hillary Clinton – her backer (The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) – launched radio spots against the Barack Obama health care plan.

John Edwards – has a backer titled Democratic Courage (formed to counter Hillary’s White House bid) , announced it will  buy time on Iowa television attacking her candidacy.  It also has created web-ads attacking Obama.

Poor Mitt Romney doesn’t have any known backing, airing ads, but does have a group called American Right to Life attacking his historic positions on abortion issues.

There are also mailings from groups and web-sites stepping up in favor of candidates for the upcoming vote on 3-January-2008.  It’s going to be a "hot" January for 2008.
