State of the Union – Union?

Did you see the G.W. Bush State of the Nation speech last night (28-January)?

No, I’m not talking about the rumor of the Obama-snubbed-Clinton, I’m talking of the general Democrat non-or-limited reaction to some of the items that were non-partisan. Such as no clapping, no standing to the announcement of the scientific find in negating the need for stem-cell research dependent on the need to destroy a fetus, with the finding that a skin-cell will also do. Let me repeat – NO APPLAUSE from Democrats for a SCIENTIFIC find. What’s-up with that? Are the politics in the capital that bad?

Republicans clapped and praised the finding…and the Dems just sat there, thumbing through the program (the pamphlet people were thumbing through and browsing. Brain-dead Ted Kennedy not only thumbed the pamphlet, but his nose at a few people, including Clinton.

Or did you see the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi playing denture-wrestle with her tongue…at times she looked like an Orangutan.

Com’on people, you are on CAMERA/TELEVISION, representing our country to the people of our country, AND, you’re being watched by the international community as well.

But enjoy the voting in Florida tonight (will it be Romney or McCain; Clinton or Obama), and curl up with a bowl of popcorn to watch the numbers start to roll-in once the polls close. In the meantime, you can ponder why after 300 outstanding Freedom of Information Act requests for the Clinton documents (totaling 10 million pages requiring six archivists to handle them) won’t be honored until 2012 at the earliest – and how Hillary could continue to wonder why people don’t trust her enough to vote for her.
