Pennsylvania – the Democrat Day After

Tags: Barack Obama, Campaign, campaign funds, Delegates, Democrat, Hillary Clinton, Pennsylvania, Super Delegate, video, vote, war

STORY UPDATE Clinton has taken 55% of all votes (at least 81 delegates) and Obama 45% (at least 70 delegates), with 99% of all votes checking in and 7 delegates uncommitted. (from Yahoo! News). Spending on television ads by Obama tallied in at $11m versus $5m for Clinton. North Carolina and Indiana are the next states to vote, 6-May.

Fresh with cash and climbing out of the red ($3.5m new funds contributed at about mid-day today 23-April, and on track to raise $10m 24 hours since the polls have closed, as reported by MSNBC. Video discussion on the Clinton funds.

So far, Clinton has won 66 delegates, Obama 57, with 35 left to be awarded (officials are still counting the returns). Is it enough? No. Could it be? If Hillary takes the balance (35) and some Super Delegates left undecided pledge allegiance to her campaign, AND some convert from the Obama camp. Keep your eye on the delegate leader board for the tallies.

The good news? High participation/turnout in the voting process as reported this morning in Reuters, and MSNBC reports 300,000 new voters in Pennsylvania (29% of whom said they wouldn’t vote for Hillary in November). Maybe some voters took to heart their responsibilities as an America citizen/voter and pledged to honor the voter’s creed. There will be news all throughout the day on the news-services and an update here toward end-of-day for a summary.

Watch the video discussing what it will take for Hillary to win…remember, she has some money concerns (floating in the red area right now).
