Fred Thompson Fading Fast

Just after he joined the Republican candidate crowd last month, polling showed Thompson about tied as the front-runner, with Rudy Giuliani.
But in about a months time, Thompson’s support in the polls has slipped from 27% to 19% - only 2% ahead of McCain at 17%. Thompson has also received a lot of criticism for a lackluster campaign from party activists in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Making efforts to rejuvinate his candidacy Fred Thompson is now exchanging verbal punches with GOP rival Rudy Giuliani. You can watch the fireworks in the near future as it is expected the past political history of the former mayor of NY will be called front-and-center; Giuliani was once a Democrat.
Giuliani also backs abortion rights and gay rights, something Thompson does not support. This will also become political fodder.
