Fox News Debate Reporting Slanted

Tags: Barack Obama, Congress, Debates, Education, Fox News, immigration, Internet, Life, Ron Paul, Tax, the issues, war

Readers – as Fox News so easily dismissed a candidate from the televised presidential debates despite his having a healthy return in Iowa caucus results (10%) – it was decided to help do our part to offset this wrong-doing. This is not an endorsement, just push-back against "the system".

So Ron Paul – for whatever the effort is worth.

Fox News? Go turn in to a celeb TV news-rag and try to get paparazzi shots of Britney or other celebs for all you’re worth. You’re about as good as the Clinton Network News (CNN) channel.

Turning to a more serious note, time to touch on key-issues: Immigration, Taxes, Life, Education, and an overview of Congressman Ron Raul’s record; compare this to your current fav candidate.

Immigration – Ron Paul has never voted for amnesty and has a 6-point plan to end illegal immigration. He plans to end welfare for illegal aliens, he has sponsored legislation to end Social Security payments to illegal aliens, and he’s the only candidate proposing to amend the Constitution and end birthright citizenship (that is, a child born in the U.S. to illegal immigrant parents automatically becomes a U.S. citizen).

Taxes – Ron Paul wants to TOTALLY abolish the IRS. He has never voted to raise your taxes. In ten terms in the Congress, Ron Paul has never voted for a tax increase or an unbalanced budget. He supported President Bush’s tax cut and supports eliminating the death tax and the marriage penalty.

Life – Ron Paul is a doctor and has deliver 4,000 babies in his 40 years of medical practice. In light of that, need we even need to say he is pro-life?

Education – Ron Paul opposes all federal takeovers of education (a reference to the No Child Left Behind Act). He understands that local education is the best education and encourages keeping tax dollars at home. As president, Ron Paul vows to work to give teachers, parents, and students control of education – not the unions, not the bureaucrats, and not the government.

Overview – Ron Paul has:

  • Never voted to raise taxes.
  • Never voted for an unbalanced budget.
  • Never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
  • Never voted to raise congressional pay.
  • Never taken a government-paid junket.
  • Never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
  • Voted against the Iraq war.
  • Voted against the Patriot Act.
  • Voted against regulating the Internet.
  • Does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
  • Returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Dr. and Congressman Ron Paul has served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis (as a flight surgeon) and continued on active duty into the early years of the Vietnam War. He currently serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and is a consistent advocate for a strong national defense.

A closing tag-line on one of his mailings reads, “The time has come to rein in the federal government, put it on a crash diet, and let the people keep their money and their liberty.”

So there you have it. Too bad Ron Paul couldn’t push Obama or Clinton on the touchy topic of whether they would or would not support the lucrative congressional pension program. That program is so OVERinflated in fund payments, in total, it is larger than the Gross National Product (GNP) of some medium-sized countries!!

  1. What a delightfully biased report on Ron Paul. Ron Paul is a terrible idea for our nations leader. A big issue in the world today is foreign aid, and Ron Paul is against taking any action to end world hunger or stop genocide. The most he has said is that America should take a ‘moral stance’ on the Darfur genocide. A moral stance? That did a lot of good in Rwanda.

Long story short, Ron Paul cares about America and ONLY America. He supports isolationism and indifference to the rest of the world.

  2. Actually, that is about the one thing I feel I could depend on Ron Paul to do. Note it says he never ‘voted for’ this’n that, but he knew and often supported the folks in Congress who WOULD vote for these things.

Check Fred Thompson’s past and learn the truth. At least the media TALKS about Ron Paul, whereas they are scared to death of Fred.

  3. Of course Fred Thompson runs a lackluster campaign that shows little energy, less initiative, and even less drive.
With lobbying clients questionable at best, can he claim the conservative mantel? I-think-not.
