Florida Primary Results and Who Drops Out

For the Democrats it’s a 1-2 finish for Hillary and Barack, respectively. Huge win in popular votes for Clinton.

For the Republicans a close race with McCain finishing first, and Romney a close second.

Not totally unexpected. But what about those on the low-end of the voting?

  • John Edwards (D) will remain in the race, until Super-Tuesday (S-T). He’ll come in third in most if not all of the states and will drop-out. He’s going to try to cut a deal for an office with whomever he feels will come out on top.
  • Mike Gravel (D) should announce he is dropping out. Very poor showing, across all states.
  • Mike Huckabee (R) came in third and will remain in the race for S-T.
  • Rudy Giuliani (R) will FINALLY give it up (as predicted by Presidential-Race.net). His gamble turned into a losing hand. Expect him to announce he will throw his support behind McCain.
  • Ron Paul (R) - unpredictable, so he may stay or he may go before S-T. In reality, it’s time to leave the race. Poor showings across the board in all states. He has stayed to bring to the forefront the topics other candidates stayed away from. He has accomplished his personal task.

Stay tuned for the fun between now and Super-Tuesday (5-February), and thereafter. Things are going to get HOT!
