Democrats in Miami - Republicans AWOL?
Tags: Democrat, John McCain, RepublicanThe Democratic presidential candidates face off tonight (09-Sept-2007) in Miami at the University of Miami which is expected to focus on Hispanic and Latino issues. The forum is being sponsored and will air on Univision, the largest Spanish language television network in the U.S.
That could be bad news for the Republicans - as a similar forum with the GOP Presidential candidates was supposed to take place next Sunday night. But only one Republican candidate accepted the invitation - Senator John McCain of Arizona. The GOP version has been cancelled, but Univision hopes it can reschedule with the Republican candidates.
Let’s see…if you enter a car race, but don’t put any gas in the tank, what do you think your chances are you will win the race? This is a growing and large minority population; Republicans just can’t ignore this group and hope to win the office.
