The dumbing down of America

August 4th, 2008 Presidential-Race.net Posted in Religion, Videos No Comments »

I hasn’t worked out well for the UK, so why repeat the same mistake here?

Stop catering to special interest groups, especially this particular group. They have a recent history of immigrating then attempting to set up their own state within a state. Tyson Foods Corp is making a huge mistake. When will the stupidity stop??

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. — Some workers at a local plant will no longer to be able to take their Labor Day holiday because of religious reasons. Workers at the Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day but will instead be granted the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr.

Somebody please stumble,digg,reddit this.

Obama’s Ex-Reverend Jeremiah Wright Feels Wronged

April 24th, 2008 madmin Posted in Barack Obama, Democrats, Politics, Religion, The Issues, Videos No Comments »

You know, it seems to be consistent. Once people are busted (especially in politics or religion), they turn 180-degrees and protest as to how THEY were wronged; they’re INNOCENT!. Latest to add to the list, is Obama’s prior reverend Jeremiah Wright.

The rev. is claiming he and his speeches were taken out of context by Fox News (damn Fox News) – but what about the coverage of the other news stations? They reported on the same issues. But can we forget what we heard and saw? Sorry – words came from his mouth (or did someone FORCE him to say that – NOT!) . Don’t know how much proof is needed. Video reminder from ABC News attached (from YouTube post).

Romney and Mormonism

October 20th, 2007 madmin Posted in Politics, Religion, Republican, The Issues No Comments »

A vast majority of Americans believe Mitt Romney’s faith will not be a deciding factor in a decision to vote for him or not. The former Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential candidate is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons).

Some items recently noted from Romney’s political camp:

  • He has called the United Nations a failure and would support a new coalition of the free nations of the world.
  • The governor believes the U.S. should withdraw completely from the U.N. Human Rights Council, ending financial support in addition to not seeking a seat on the council.
  • He recently released a new web-ad emphasizing the importance of family values by showcasing his five children and ten grandchildren.
  • Romney believes he has a better record of lowering taxes and reigning in government spending, superior to that claimed by Giuliani.

Presidential Candidate Stance on Abortion Rights

September 15th, 2007 madmin Posted in Democrats, Independant / Other, Politics, Religion, Republican, The Issues 1 Comment »

This is a no-nonsense yea/nea SUMMARY; clear-cut and to the quick.  If you want to read the details go visit one of the B.S. news sites that want to forever cloud the issues with nonsensical details.

Abortion:

  • All Democratic candidates support abortion rights; note Dennis Kucinich  used to oppose but now supports (now that’s taking a firm stance on the issues isn’t it?)
  • All Republican candidates except Rudy Giuliani are opposed to abortion rights.

Did anyone (including you, reader) ever think that some serious problems of the world may have been solved by one of the embryos selected for abortion?  Has our society aborted a child that could have become the equal or greater to some of the renowned greats such as Confucius, Plato, Albert Einstein, Leonarda da Vinci, Maria Curie,  or other – to have solved pollution of our air, water, or land?  Or to find a simple answer to combat poverty, hunger, or crime.  We’ll never know…

Pope: Other denominations not true churches

July 14th, 2007 madmin Posted in Religion No Comments »

So Pope Benedict issues a statement asserting that Jesus established ‘only one church’, and his churches may revert back to a language many people don’t understand anymore (Latin). Read more at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19692094/?GT1=10150.

Brand building? Maybe. But doesn’t it feel great that what your worshiping at (your church) doesn’t count?

Is he muscling for money? Visibility? You decide. Check the article out at The Star: http://www.thestar.com/Unassigned/article/235812.
