New Health Care Bill – Corruption Round #2

March 13th, 2010 Presidential-Race.net Posted in Democrats, Health Bill, In the News, Politics, The Issues No Comments »

No big surprise here. The health-care bill President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and other (dare this Presidential-Race news reporter say it?) IGNORANT politicians will be as corrupt and full of special projects as it is long. Examples:

1. A Senate-approved health measure lawmakers hope to send to Obama soon would steer $600 million over the next decade to Vermont in added federal payments for Medicaid, and;
2. nearly as much to Massachusetts.
3. Connecticut would get $100 million to build a hospital.
4. About 800,000 Florida seniors could keep certain Medicare benefits.
5. Asbestos-disease victims in tiny Libby, Mont., and some coal miners with black lung disease or their widows would get help.
6. There are various “prizes” for Louisiana, the Dakotas and more states.

In other words, damn the torpedos, the Democratic Senators in no uncertain terms will allow themselves to be compromised at ANY cost just to complete this task. Reaffirming this is the quote from the office of Democratic Senator of Nevada – Mr. Proponent of health-care reform himself – Harry Reid. “We’re going to do what we have to do to get a bill out of the House and Senate,” said James Manley, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Never before has the United States seen such dedication of the Senate to undermine the health and financial well-being of the citizens of the United States.

My fellow Americans. Stop this Senate abomination, by voting out the Democrat Senate “leadership” in 2010.

Obama Undercutting American Jobs – with China?

March 13th, 2010 Presidential-Race.net Posted in In the News, Politics, Security, The Issues No Comments »

According to the Oakland Press, China plans to bid for contracts to build U.S. high-speed train lines, a government official said Saturday (13-Mar-2010)…and President Barack Obama issued a pledge in November with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, to cooperate in developing the technology.

Is this a joint-venture to undercut the desperately neede new-job infra-structure to stimulate the economy?

Mr. President, what are you thinking?

The Lying President and Health Care

December 22nd, 2009 madmin Posted in Barack Obama, Democrats, Politics, The Issues, Videos No Comments »

As written by Scott Wilson at the WashingtonPost.com, President Obama rejected in an interview Tuesday the criticism that he has compromised too much in order to secure health-care reform legislation, challenging his critics to identify any “gap” between what he campaigned on last year and what Congress is on the verge of passing.

He must have conveniently forgotten his campaign promise:

Dem Senators Avoid Constituents Prior to Health Care Vote

December 21st, 2009 madmin Posted in Democrats, Politics, The Issues, Videos No Comments »

UNBELIEVEABLE! Tim Phillips – reporting for American’s For Prosperity (@ http://americansforprosperity.org/national-site) – tells his readers the unimaginable. That the Democratic Senators SHUT THEIR CELL PHONES OFF to avoid the multiple calls from constituents that are protesting the government takeover of the health-care system as they prepared for an early 1:17am vote. Sadly, these Senators are now ignoring the voice of the common people who voted them in to represent their needs of the state they represent. An abomination. TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION – history DOES repeat itself.

The deals being cut to gain solidarity of the Democratic Senators needed to pass the bill are sickening – cited examples from Mr. Phillips writings:
1. Senator Ben Nelson got an unprecedented deal to force federal taxpayers to pick up 100% of the cost of Nebraska’s Medicaid expansion–forever.
2. Connecticut’s Senator, Christopher Dodd, got a $100 million earmark for a hospital at the University of Connecticut.
3. Vermont Senators Pat Leahy and Bernie Sanders, who had been threatening to oppose the bill from the Left, got an extra $250 million in Medicaid funding.
4. In Florida, Senator Bill Nelson got three counties carved out of Medicare Advantage cuts that will happen everywhere else in the country.
5. The “Louisiana Purchase” where Reid and Obama paid $300 million of our taxpayer dollars to the pet projects of Senator Landrieu to secure her vote.

What did this deliver for voters?? Increased premiums for many Americans, higher taxes, and nearly $500 billion in cuts to the Medicare coverage many seniors rely on. It still isn’t too late to have an impact on this debate. All it will take is for ONE reasonable Democrat to vote ‘No’, to stop Harry Reid’s takeover of your health care.

All pork-barrel spending, all behind the scenes – so much for Obama’s pledge of transparency - this is anything but.

To top it off, it turns out that Obama has pulled a 180-degree change

AGAINST WHAT HE STATED WHEN RUNNING FOR ELECTION TO HIS CURRENT OFFICE!!

Watch the YouTube footage – facts are facts.

Impeachment appears to be the only option to force this to a stop. Call your Democratic Senators and DEMAND they withdraw their support. Find your lawmaker and tell they what you think, by starting here: http://www.congress.org/. Then, if your Senator is a Democrat, ask if they are the ONE reasonable elected official that isn’t scared to take a stand and vote ‘No’ to stop Harry Reid and Barack Obama’s takeover of your health care.

Impeach, Recall Obama? Tweet Your Elected Officials

December 17th, 2009 madmin Posted in Democrats, Independant / Other, Politics, Republican, Senate, The Issues No Comments »

Impeach a President? Yes. Recall – not an option.

Recall is not a viable option for the President of the United States. However, impeachment is (remember the Nixon episode?). Unfortunately this is the only legal route our system allows, and impeachment must be enacted by Congress..therefore most likely we will have to suffer with him in the Oval Office until 2012.

However, his impact CAN be greatly minimized and therefore, the damage he can inflict on the American People. How? Be writing and calling your elected representatives. Let them know that if they vote to support the President’s agenda (including the unpopular health-care disaster) the representative may as well submit their resignation, because they are about to be fired.

Keep constant contact with your elected officials to apply the needed pressure to influence their vote on key decisions that will impact the United States for decades to come. Make it painful for the voted-officials in the House and Senate to blindly follow the President as they have in the past. Even now, with Obama’s approval ratings falling (even among Democrats) he keeps pushing forward with his personal agenda to reform health-care.

Are you wondering how you can contact your elected officials? Glad you asked – copy/paste the URL in your browser line: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml. You will then be able to contact any elected official you like from the Office of the President to your state officials. There is even a link on the page to send each representative a Tweet!!

Individually, you can make a difference. If you pass the word, the more the elected officials will feel the pain that they need to represent the majority not the minority!
